Job Title: Commercial Account Executive

The Commercial Account Executive role on the Red Hat Sales Team is based in Osaka and focuses on strategic and rapidly growing commercial accounts.

This position is responsible for driving sales activities within their designated territory, developing new and existing customer relationships, and identifying and pursuing sales opportunities with customers considering or implementing IT systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sell Red Hat solutions and services to key account customers in the assigned territory, visiting customers and partners to identify potential opportunities.
  • Collaborate with Solution Architects and other relevant team members to develop and execute account plans that drive Red Hat's multi-faceted strategy.
  • Manage the sales pipeline.
  • Partner with the Marketing department to identify and pursue new customer leads and key decision-makers.
  • Collaborate with Solution Architects to provide technical product information and support sales efforts.
  • Use enterprise-standard CRM tools to manage sales forecasts, support partner transactions, and track customer opportunities.
  • Generate leads and acquire new customers in target industries and geographies.
  • Develop, execute, and improve solution strategies tailored to specific industries and customers.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of high-touch sales experience.
  • Understanding of the sales cycle from prospecting to closing deals.
  • Proven ability to manage sales pipelines, set and achieve sales targets, and execute partnership-based strategies.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to build long-term relationships with customers based on trust and credibility.
  • Ability to work under pressure and maintain a focus on results-oriented performance.
  • Teamwork and creative thinking abilities.
  • Passion for open-source technology.
  • Bonus points for experience working with major system integrators or networks.
  • Bonus points for experience selling highly technical solutions.
