Job Description

  • Develop and implement Seller Acquisition team initiatives that align with the overall business strategy.
  • Lead, motivate, and coach team members to achieve individual and team targets.
  • Provide guidance and support to the team, ensuring they have the tools, knowledge, and skills to succeed in their roles.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative team culture that emphasizes high performance, accountability, and client success.
  • Develop and implement strategies for acquiring seller leads based on comprehensive market intelligence, including but not limited to B2B/B2C, online/offline export to overseas markets (US/SEA/LATAM), and local demand for Japanese products.
  • Build strong and trusted relationships with key enablers and stakeholders for strategic seller acquisition.
  • Ensure that team members work effectively with potential leads by providing solid recommendations on market/category/SKU selection and logistics channels for the strategic new seller program.
  • Oversee a smooth onboarding journey by improving, standardizing, and optimizing processes in collaboration with relevant teams.
  • Track, monitor, and improve the performance of both the team and newly onboarded strategic sellers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 8 years of relevant professional experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
  • Bilingual in English and Japanese to facilitate dynamic collaboration with stakeholders across the region; exceptional communication and negotiation skills, both written and verbal.
  • In-depth knowledge of seller acquisition and cross-border eCommerce, with strong leadership, coaching, and mentoring abilities to drive team performance.
  • Excellent sales acumen with the ability to close deals and drive business growth.
  • Strong analytical skills to track performance, identify trends, and adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Demonstrated success in exceeding sales objectives using a solution-focused, action-oriented, and creative approach.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to add value by driving initiatives.
  • Strong stakeholder and relationship management skills supported by analytical capabilities.
  • At least one year of experience in cross-border eCommerce or FBA is a plus.
