About The Team
As a member of the Seller Acquisition team, you will contribute to the growth of Shopee's Japan cross-border business by acquiring and nurturing Japanese sellers who fit our logistics models (ie. SLS, Local Fulfillment Services).
You will report to the Seller Acquisition team lead, and work closely with cross-functional teams and partners such as the Seller onboarding team, Incubation team, and Marketing solution teams to ensure new sellers experience seamless onboarding and sustainable performances after onboarding.
You will also collaborate with Marketing and PR partners to strengthen Shopee's brand presence and attract high-potential sellers through inbound and outbound initiatives.
Job Description
- Identify, generate and acquire high-quality leads by analyzing market intelligence - including B2B/B2C trends, offline/online export potential, and local demand for Japanese products.
- Build strong and trusted relationships with (new) key enablers/players, such as TPs, ERPs, and logistics partners to accelerate seller acquisition and ecosystem growth.
- Develop actionable recommendations for new sellers, covering market entry, category selection, and SKU strategy for SLS and Local Fulfillment onboarding.
- Ensure smooth seller onboarding by improving and standardizing internal processes, and working closely with cross-functional teams.
- Track, monitor, and continuously improve the performance of newly onboarded sellers through data analysis and insights.
- Partner with PR Marketing teams to explore and execute inbound seller acquisition and awareness initiatives (e.g., seller campaigns, events, or communication programs).
- Support content creation, webinar planning, and external communications to promote Shopee's value proposition to potential sellers.
Requirements
- Self-starter who can create your own path and to work in a fast-moving environment.
- Minimum 3 years of working experience in sales, business development, marketing or partnership management.
- Experience in cross-border e-commerce, global marketplace, or FBA operations is a strong plus.
- Proven record of exceeding sales or partnership objectives using a solution-oriented and creative approach.
- Strong stakeholder management and relationship management skills backed with analytical skill.
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively across teams in a dynamic environment.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills — experience in marketing content, campaigns, or PR activities is a plus.
- Strong data management and reporting ability (or willingness to learn).
