Recruiter – Japan (Global Payment Services) Location:
Tokyo preferred | Full-time | End-to-End Talent Acquisition & Employer Branding
A global payment services company is seeking a strategic and hands-on Recruiter to lead hiring efforts in Japan. This role is pivotal in scaling our operations and strengthening our employer brand in a highly collaborative, non-hierarchical environment. You'll own full-cycle recruitment across Servicing Operations, Compliance, and Banking roles, while championing candidate experience and market presence.
Key Responsibilities
Manage end-to-end recruitment for Japan, from sourcing to offer, ensuring a seamless candidate journey.
Build strong partnerships with hiring managers, acting as a trusted advisor throughout the hiring process.
Source and engage top talent using both traditional and creative strategies tailored to the Japanese market.
Collaborate with global TA and People teams on initiatives such as referrals, talent mapping, and benchmarking.
Use data to inform hiring decisions, identify bottlenecks, and optimize recruitment processes.
Drive employer branding efforts through local events, partnerships, and campaigns.
Balance multiple requisitions while maintaining quality of hire and alignment with business needs.
Qualifications
Proven success in recruiting for servicing operations and corporate/financial services roles in Japan.
Experience in employer branding or talent marketing, with a strong understanding of Japan's competitive landscape.
Skilled in sourcing senior candidates via direct outreach, networks, and creative channels.
Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment while collaborating globally.
Data-driven mindset with experience using dashboards and reports to influence outcomes.
Fluent in Japanese and English, with excellent cross-cultural communication skills.
Resilient, curious, and proactive—able to turn challenges into opportunities.
