Job description:
• UTR Manager is expected to develop and implement safety plans for emergency situations, peak times, cold and heat stress, human factors, and other unique WHS circumstances.
• Manager is responsible for guiding and supervising adherence to all Amazon WHS policies.
• Manager supports business WHS initiatives by ensuring accurate record-keeping, reporting, and providing accurate metrics.
• Manager develops and implements solutions to eliminate exposure to identified potential risks and prevent injuries.
• Manager identifies gaps in published WHS policies, procedures, and local regulations and develops site plans to address these gaps.
• Manager audits workplace organization and associate behavior to ensure accurate and consistent training, auditing, and evaluation methods.
• Manager ensures site leaders and associates receive necessary training and possess required knowledge based on policies.
• Manager audits quality, implementation methods, and effectiveness of all WHS training, including trainer qualifications.
• Manager reviews the effectiveness of deployed safety tools and ensures continuous improvement through revisions.
About the role:
• Onsite work at designated sites and neighboring sites.
• Visits to cooperation company sites, product development sites, and possible international travel.

• The team focuses on developing and implementing safety plans to improve the safety level.
• Team members work collaboratively to ensure a safe working environment.
Basic qualifications:
• 3+ years of experience in safety management in any industry.
• Experience in site safety guidance and safety measure introduction.
• Practical experience in risk assessment, accident cause investigation, and corrective action implementation related to EHS.
• Business-level Japanese language skills (document creation, reading, and business experience).
• Business-level English language skills (document creation, reading, and business experience).
Preferred qualifications:
• Experience in contributing to an inclusive culture and working in a diverse group.
• Experience in ISO 18001/45001, transportation safety management introduction and maintenance.
• Experience in management system audits (audit or auditee, safety-related qualifications welcome).
• Project participation experience, including P.M. experience.
• Knowledge of domestic safety-related laws (Labor Safety and Health Law, Labor Standards Law, Fire Law).
• Experience in standardization and introduction of transportation and road traffic law requirements.
