Job Title: Brand Communication Strategist
This role is a pivotal part of enabling the delivery of our brand communication to consumers at touchpoints where shoppers purchase our products.
- Develop a Go-to-Market strategy in alignment with the brand strategy and collaborate with the brand marketing team.
- Lead the development of channel strategies and execution plans with excellence.
- Create plans and tools to deliver sales fundamentals goals and strategies.
- Develop customer selling stories by enhancing customer value, including innovation selling.
About You
Main Responsibilities
- Go-to-Market Strategy
- Based on the brand strategy developed by marketing, create Go-to-Market strategies and plans for existing portfolios and new innovations to achieve sales fundamentals goals. Collaborate with marketing teams for post-launch analysis to learn from experiences.
- Define sales fundamentals targets by channel to achieve brand sales targets using relevant competitive benchmarks.
- Develop sufficient plans and tools to deliver sales fundamentals targets by channel.
- Develop strong customer selling stories/toolkits and execution plans to maximize brand sales and profitability.
- SUPPORT CUSTOMER NEGOTIATION WHERE NEEDED, BUT FOCUSING ON TOP CUSTOMERS OF DANONE JAPAN
- Maintain up-to-date portfolio ABCD prioritization by channel and monitor performance by team.
- BOP & Sales Operations
- Support Business Operating Process (GPS in Danone) by identifying risks and opportunities to demand forecasts.
- Develop gap-filling plans to achieve sales targets.
- Update all changes to our portfolio (labels, ingredients) and guide sales teams for detailed executions together with sales execution excellence teams.
- Lead for Bi-Annual Topline Convention
- Collaborate with Sr. Manager and team managers in G2M strategy & planning teams to lead preparation of bi-annual Topline Conventions for all Sales and topline team members.
- Develop customer selling stories for the next 6 months and deploy them to all field sales team members.
CAPABILITY PROFILE – Required Background
Education Background
- Possess a general bachelor's degree or equivalent and above.
Technical Skills and Experiences Required
- Solid sales experience in FMCG manufacturers and/or retailers.
- Good understanding of the Japanese retail landscape and shopper behavior.
- Strong analysis skills for market situations (what happened and why).
- Basic knowledge of financials (components of P&L).
- Experience in team building and capability development.
- Native level of written and spoken Japanese and intermediate level of written and spoken English.
- Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
