Job Title: Customs Clearance Specialist
We are seeking a skilled Customs Clearance Specialist to join our team at Kuehne + Nagel.
Your Role:
You will work closely with internal stakeholders and vendors to arrange and approve value-added services for our customers. Your responsibilities will be determined by your country structure and manager, consisting of some or all of the following tasks:
- Organize transport based on customer promise and lowest cost.
- Coordinate with customers on specific pick-up/drop-off locations and times.
- Facilitate permits and documents for customs.
- Arrange other value-added services such as fumigation, stuffing, and Certificate of Origin.
- Perform all communication with vendors (sub-contractors) except carriers.
- Update systems status and update documents relating to KN services.
- Attend to Dangerous Goods approvals if needed.
- Assess sub-contractors' performance to improve services.
Your Skills and Experience:
Your strong skills and knowledge in vendor management, along with customer and stakeholder relationships, will be key to your success. You will possess knowledge across our operations, products, and services, and have the key attributes we seek in this role.
