• Support ES Japan team to manage payroll related activities efficiently


• Contribute to ES process optimization and ensure proper execution of payroll project.


• Implement sufficient actions to secure compliance, and support government and Company audit


• Ensure the accuracy of the payroll

Main Responsibility

  • Manage Payroll in charge of the execution of operational Payroll activities, conduct monthly payroll monitoring to secure payroll accuracy, on-time delivery, figures consistency.
  • Organized Payroll plan and annual payroll calendar with key events trackable
  • Strong execution on payroll related policies and rules
  • Act proactively in issues required X-team efforts, ., with Finance/HR, remove barriers and find win-win solutions
  • Vendor management: monitor payroll vendor service performance
  • Compliance: implement sufficient actions to secure compliance, and support government and Company audit
  • Well acknowledged of local regulatory and able to take comprehensive action on daily practice to ensure compliance, stay abreast of the latest developments, best practices and trends in their domains to bring leading edge expertise including legal/compliance topics
  • Processes and tools enhancement, set up more efficient processes & tools with a continuous improvement approach, identify potential risk and develop preventive measures, able to solve problems quickly when unexpected situation appeared
  • Payroll handbook for teams' operation, with rules, instructions and red lines stated
  • Contribute to Payroll related projects
  • Monitor service level and team performance, equip payroll teams with solid skills and strong sense of local regulation
  • About You

    Academic Requirement
    ・University Degree

    Technical Skills and Experiences required
    ・Japanese is the primary working language of this position
    ・Good command of oral and written English
    ・Good computer skills (Excel, Word, Power point: particularly in Excel, with proficiency in Pivot tables, functions, and VBA knowledge preferred)
    ・Strong knowledge of payroll processes, social insurance, systems, and local regulations
    ・Familiarity with concepts like "gross-up" and/or "high-pot tax" is preferred
    ・Business partnering and service-oriented mindset
    ・Analytical mindset
    ・Continuous improvement skills
    ・Leadership / Team management / Community animation
