About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Front Desk Manager to join our team.
As a Front Desk Manager, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, controlling, and directing the work of employees in the hotel's restaurant while ensuring guest satisfaction.
You will supervise the activities of the Communications staff and answer and direct phone calls, take reservations inquiries, in-room dining order taking, HotSoS requests, email, and faxes in an efficient, courteous, and professional manner.
Key Responsibilities
- Attend regular operational meetings to ensure effective coordination and cooperation between departments.
- Ensure all local and corporate policies, works rules, and benchmark standards are properly implemented.
- Utilize technology such as Golden to maximize guest recognition and satisfaction.
- Develop guest connections and gain feedback from guests regarding their overall stay or specific issues.
- Interview, train, and schedule PBX staff, supervise day-to-day performance, conduct performance reviews, and discipline staff as needed.
- Handle all guest interactions with the highest level of hospitality and professionalism, accommodating special requests whenever possible, resolving customer complaints, and assisting customers in all inquiries.
- Utilize and ensure proper working condition of telephone switchboards, hotel computer systems, high-speed Internet systems, and facsimile machines.
- Familiarize yourself with security issues, including fire alarm procedures, calling the house doctor, bomb threats, and guest/staff confidentiality.
- Monitor and respond to hotel fire control panels and emergency situations in an efficient and professional manner.
- Be proficient in Four Seasons Chat platform and assist with responsibilities and duties in the absence of Reservationists and In-Room Dining – Order Taking.
Requirements
- College education or equivalent.
- One to two years of previous experience in a line, supervisory, or assistant manager position in core, reservation, or F&B.
- Knowledge of and ability to operate computer equipment and Microsoft Office Suite software, Opera, Food & Beverage computer system, and other technology required based on Four Seasons requirements.
- Reading, writing, and oral proficiency in English language.
