Summary
Lead the daily management of Universal Studios Japan's resources that design data centers and critical environments according to industry standards. Manage the installation and maintenance of data centers and critical environments on and off campus, oversee project resources, and evaluate new systems/processes/standards. Collaborate with various departments and perform integrations of critical systems to infrastructure, working closely with business partners and clients to develop strategies for achieving data center and critical environments capacity.
Responsibilities
* Supervise and lead the Infrastructure Operations design team in projects related to Universals Data Centers and Campus Distribution facilities, ensuring the highest standards are met to achieve uptime reliability of core systems.
* Provide capacity planning and placement of UPR facilities, including IDF's, MDF's, and onsite Data Centers. Serve as technical lead and SME for infrastructure sub-systems and their reliability. Evaluate new technologies to maintain a high level of enterprise availability across the campus voice and data distribution plant.
* Participate as SME in projects associated with the enhancement, upgrading, or implementation of new or existing technology solutions. Quote and implement cabling and technical facility solutions, including fiber optic and structured cabling solutions, and coordinate with internal and third-party teams responsible for the support of these systems.
* Continuously assess resources needs, required skillsets, and department structure to ensure team alignment with UPR growth demand and requirements. Supervise resources and consult with Sr. Manager, Infra. Ops., on opportunities and challenges.
* Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with business partners. Represent the team to business partner management and be the single point of contact for business partners with concerns regarding assigned resources. Represent UPR Infrastructure Operations locally by collaborating with USH internal stakeholders.
* Serve as second-level support by providing technical leadership and direction to contractors and team members as needed.
Qualifications/Requirements
* Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field; or equivalent work experience.
* 3+ years of experience leading implementations of infrastructure in support of voice and date enterprise services.
* Technical leadership experience in Infrastructure and/or Data Center Operations.
* Experience planning and installing data centers and other critical environment racks, cable management, copper, and fiber optic cabling.
Languages: Japanese and English proficiency is desirable. Japanese_Distinguished_Native or bilingual proficiency, and English_Advanced High_Professional working proficiency.

* Working knowledge of MEP standards and operations.
* Experience installing equipment within electrical codes, grounding regulations, and calculating consumption calculations.
* Experience in designing cable management and fiber distribution standards and Systems.
* Strong analytical, and organizational skills with attention to detail.
* Professional Business communication and interpersonal skills.
* Advanced MS Office skills, including PowerPoint, Visio, etc.
Estimated Salary: $100,000 - $150,000 per year
