Background and Purpose:
The successful candidate will be a vital member of our DigitalX TrustTechX team, responsible for managing multi-cloud (AWS and Azure) and hybrid environments at Astellas. This includes full stack automation, incident response, assisting project teams with cloud deployments, and troubleshooting cloud-related issues.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Project Execution: Actively participate in and contribute to various projects, applying specialized skills to achieve project objectives.
- Collaboration: Work collaboratively with team members within the subdivision and across other digital and business units.
- Continuous Learning: Engage in continuous learning and professional development to stay abreast of the latest trends and technologies in a specific area of expertise.
- Innovation: Contribute innovative ideas and approaches to enhance project outcomes and digital capabilities.
- Reporting: Regularly report on project progress and outcomes to your Capability Lead and team members.
- Problem-Solving: Employ analytical and problem-solving skills to overcome project challenges and deliver effective solutions.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure the highest quality and consistency in the work delivered.
- Design and implement scalable, secure cloud infrastructure and applications in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Migrate existing on-premises applications and services to the cloud.
- Monitor cloud services and infrastructure for availability, performance, and cost optimization.
- Ensure cloud environments comply with industry standards and company security policies.
- Collaborate with software engineering and IT teams to support development, deployment, and operations of cloud-based applications.
- Provide technical guidance and support for cloud-related initiatives.
- Stay current with new cloud technologies and best practices and recommend innovations that enhance and optimize the company's cloud strategy.
- Automate cloud deployments and configuration management tasks using scripting languages and cloud automation tools.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in the Hybrid Cloud environment.
Organizational Context:
You will be part of the 'Hybrid Cloud and Delivery Operations' team as an individual contributor. Our agile operating model consists of two components – Digital Capability and Digital Execution. You will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies and implement innovative solutions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in relevant field, e.g., Computer Science, Data Science, Marketing. Or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrated experience or strong interest in specific area of digital capability.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in relevant tools and technologies, e.g., Python, R, SQL.
- Agile and adaptable to changing environments and project scopes.
- Hands-on experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP), including networking, security, compute, storage, and database services.
- Experience with cloud automation and orchestration tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible).
- Certifications in cloud computing platforms (AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, Google Cloud Certified - Professional Cloud Architect).
Estimated salary range: $120,000 - $180,000 per year.
