Rohde & Schwarz is seeking a senior, customer facing technical business development professional to grow our high speed interconnect test business across the US & Canada. This role blends RF/VNA measurement expertise with strategic account development in AI/datacenter connectivity, component qualification, and signal integrity applications. You will be the go to technical resource for customers and internal teams, translating RF measurements into actionable digital link insights and driving adoption of R&S solutions.

Your tasks

  • Prospect, develop, and manage strategic accounts in datacenter, AI infrastructure, cable/connectivity, and component OEMs.
  • Create new opportunities and expand R&S brand presence in the region, working closely with local Account Managers and Application Engineering (AE) teams.
  • Lead technical demos, proof of concepts, and on site evaluations that showcase VNA/RF workflows applied to digital interconnect problems.
  • Provide deep technical support and hands on training to AE, sales teams, and customers on VNAs, calibration methods, S parameter measurement and analysis, de embedding, and TDR/TDT techniques.
  • Demonstrate how RF metrics (insertion/return loss, phase/group delay, crosstalk, mismatch) map to digital performance (loss budgets, jitter, eye degradation).
  • Execute account strategies for a portfolio of strategic customers, coordinating global R&S resources as needed.
  • Provide market and customer feedback to Market Segment Management, Product Marketing, R&D, and Service to influence product roadmap and go to market activities.
  • Develop an actionable business strategy that addresses current and emerging trends in AI infrastructure, datacenter interconnects, and RF component testing.
  • Share knowledge and help position solutions for related markets (Automotive, Aerospace/Defense, Research) where applicable.

Your Qualifications

  • BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or related technical field.
  • 7+ years of relevant industry experience (business development, field/applications engineering, or RF test engineering) with a track record of customer engagement and account development.
  • Deep hands on experience with VNAs and RF measurement techniques: SOLT/TRL/ECal calibration, S parameters, de embedding, time domain transforms (TDR/TDT), and fixture modeling.
  • Strong understanding of how RF metrics affect high speed digital interfaces and familiarity with standards such as PCIe, Ethernet, DDR, HDMI, USB, and DisplayPort.
  • Experience using RF/VNA instruments in digital SI workflows (ex. eye/jitter analysis) and working with oscilloscope based measurements for correlation.
  • Excellent communicator and trainer; able to present technical content to engineers and business stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to collaborate across account teams and coordinate global resources to close strategic opportunities.
  • US citizenship or permanent work authorization required.

The total compensation for this position is $148K-$240K. Total compensation includes base salary, variable pay (when applicable) plus benefits. The range is determined by the position, geographic location and level. Individual pay within the range is determined by several factors including location, education or training, relevant work history, sales incentive structure and job-related skills.
