As an experienced marketing professional, you will maintain a strong partnership with local sales teams, key stakeholders and regional marketing specialists to deliver best in class marketing coverage for demand generation, pipeline influence and account-based marketing and play a key role in our Japan marketing organisation.
Reporting to the Marketing Director, Legal Content in Japan, you will drive marketing plans aligned with local market opportunities and Japan business focuses, manage seamless execution, and have a significant impact on Thomson Reuters success.
Key responsibilities include developing and implementing digital marketing strategies, managing and optimising various digital marketing channels, monitoring and analysing key performance indicators, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Requirements include at least 8-10 years of relevant experience in digital marketing, successful planning and management of marketing efforts, in-depth knowledge of digital marketing channels and tools, strong analytical skills, and proficiency in using digital marketing and analytics tools.

Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement digital marketing strategies in alignment with Japan business objectives and target audience to drive brand awareness, customer acquisition, and lead generation.
• Manage and optimise various digital marketing channels, including search engine optimization (SEO), paid search, programmatic, and social media marketing.
• Monitor and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the effectiveness of digital marketing campaigns and make data-driven decisions for continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including the broader marketing team, design team, and content creators, to develop and execute integrated and scalable digital marketing campaigns.
• Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify emerging trends, industry best practices, and new opportunities for digital marketing initiatives.
• Manage and optimise the company's website, ensuring it is user-friendly, search engine optimised, and aligned with the latest web design and usability standards.
• Oversee the planning, creation, and distribution of engaging and relevant content across digital platforms to drive audience engagement and increase brand loyalty.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest digital marketing trends, tools, and technologies, and recommend innovative strategies to stay ahead of the competition.
• Track and manage digital marketing budgets, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and achieving a positive return on investment (ROI).
• Be accountable for marketing KPIs, ensuring the achievement of annual sales contribution and pipeline targets.
Requirements:
• At least 8-10 years of relevant experience in digital marketing or similar role.
• Successful planning and management of marketing efforts that have achieved pipeline and revenue growth.
• In-depth knowledge of various digital marketing channels, tools, and platforms, including SEO, PPC advertising, social media marketing, email marketing, content marketing, and web analytics.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and insights to optimise campaigns and drive performance.
• Proficient in using digital marketing and analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Google Ads, social media management platforms, and marketing automation software.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create engaging content and effectively convey digital marketing strategies and results to stakeholders.
• Creative thinker with problem-solving abilities, and a focus on delivering innovative digital marketing campaigns, staying ahead of industry trends.
• Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Ability to work effectively across a matrix organisation with stakeholders spanning multiple functions and geographies.
• Strong relationship management skills with both internal and external stakeholders and strategic partners.
• Native-level Japanese and business-level English
