We seek an Associate to support GLG’s Japan business in Tokyo. Associates drive GLG’s Insight Network, the world’s largest source of first-hand expertise.
As an Associate, you’ll quickly understand experts’ backgrounds and summarize their bios effectively. You’ll complete a comprehensive training program, receive daily coaching and feedback, and develop strong business skills.
After achieving specific goals, Associates typically progress to Senior Associate roles or into Client Solutions.
Key Associate Responsibilities Include:
- Support new expert onboarding, answering questions and follow-up by phone, email, and other methods.
- Fill out and modify experts’ profiles and write effective biographies in Japanese and English.
- Reach out to experts and renew their GLG engagement that has expired.
- May be involved in other activities to support increased expert onboarding.
- Learn and adhere to our Compliance policies.
As an Associate, You Will Learn:
- Excel in a fast-paced phone and email environment that demands attention to detail.
- Develop strong business skills, including communication, time management, negotiating, and achieving targets.
- Condense information for business decision making.
- Pitching, persuasion, and negotiation skills.
Ideal Candidates Have:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Excellent communication skills and fluency in written English
- Confident and strong communication, interpersonal skills, and motivation to work on the phone daily.
- Desire to work in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment.
- Ability to work responsibly, manage multiple tasks, and prioritize effectively.
- High motivation to exceed targets.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to quickly digest and implement feedback and coaching.
- Eagerness to learn about new topics, industries, and companies.
