Purpose of Operation:
To supervise all activities within the Outbound operation team. Oversee 3PL performance and costs with attention to on-time in-full delivery, warehouse inventory management, over/short/damage claims, and billing.
Responsible for training and motivating staff, delegating work assignments, and monitoring individual performance to achieve high levels of efficiency and achievement.
Key responsibilities & accountabilities:
Service level
Monitor and ensure service level standards are met by 3PL
Evaluate 3PL performance against the target. Recommend actions when performance continuously falls below the target
Cost management
Reviews the delivery orders' transportation method to ensure the best cost optimization
Reports on cost trends as well as recommendations to improve
Warehouse inventory management
Work with each area Supply Chain Officer (SCO) to ensure that every warehouse has sufficient stock needed to fulfill demand
Work with the Supply Chain Management Inbound team to mitigate risks when a supply shortage and/or delayed delivery situation occurs
Window to In-bound team and Logistics team
Review and compile monthly stock requirements to meet sales and work with import operations to schedule delivery timing
Review readiness of 3PL to handle the incoming transactions (e.g., warehouse space, drayage capacity, truck availability, etc.)
Team leading and mentoring
Conduct training, develop best work practices, goal setting, and team building
Act as backup to SCO during absence
Other duties that might be assigned in the future

Ability to motivate and inspire a team
