Senior Business Development Manager, Media Solutions

Tokyo-based Expedia Group Media Solutions seeks a Senior Business Development Manager to drive regional strategy and deal pipeline growth. The successful candidate will lead a designated territory in Asia, primarily Japan, developing go-to-market strategies and tactics, fostering long-term relationships with key partners, and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to accelerate media revenue growth.

About the Role

  • Pursue new business opportunities and retain/grow existing accounts within your region, negotiating deals with key clients and exceeding revenue targets.
  • Develop data-driven strategies, manage complexity, and navigate ambiguity for your territory.
  • Foster strong relationships with partners at all levels, presenting and negotiating with senior executives to close complex deals.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities and execute media campaigns.
  • Represent Expedia Group Media Solutions at industry events to establish our brand as a leader and innovator in travel digital media.

Your Skills and Experience

  • Fluency in Japanese and English is required; proficiency in Korean is a plus.
  • At least 5 years of experience in business development, online travel agencies (OTAs), and/or digital media is required.
  • Experience in partnerships with Destination Management Organizations (DMOs) and/or airlines is preferred.
  • Solid track record in driving business development with proven results.
  • Excellent listening and consultative selling skills.
  • Strong communication and public speaking skills.
  • Critical thinking, strategic planning, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Relationship builder and cultivator who assumes good intent and brings positivity to collaborative problem solving.
  • Able to handle multiple priorities with flexibility and accountability.
  • (Inter)national travel is required.

Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per year
