We are seeking a
Technical Lead
to spearhead a critical environmental engineering service for our partner in the consumer electronics industry. You will lead a dedicated EPAM team responsible for ensuring our partner's products meet the highest global standards for environmental compliance.
Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing EPAM team dedicated to environmental compliance and data validation
- Own the successful delivery of our managed service, ensuring all project milestones and quality benchmarks are met
- Drive the resolution of complex compliance issues by collaborating with suppliers and FATP (Final Assembly, Test, and Pack) sites
- Oversee project tracking, highlight risks, and drive issues to closure with partner stakeholders to ensure on-time delivery
- Lead and deliver training to suppliers and internal teams on key compliance processes and requirements
- Conduct product risk assessments with guidance from partner experts to proactively identify potential compliance challenges
- Continuously identify and drive process and system improvements to enhance data gathering efficiency and service quality
Requirements
- Strong project management skills and exceptional ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- A Bachelor of Science (BS) in Material Science, Chemistry, Environmental Science, or a related engineering/scientific field is highly recommended
- Proven experience in environmental regulations and product compliance, preferably within the electronics industry
- Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a team, fostering a culture of quality and continuous improvement
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a strong engineering mindset
- Fluency in Japanese (JLPT N1) and business-level English, both written and verbal
Nice to have
- Awareness of computer science fundamentals and software development lifecycles
- Experience delivering managed services or outcome-based projects
- Knowledge of compliance system development and supply chain auditing
