Our Tokyo headquarters in Marunouchi serves as the strategic center of our international operations, collaborating with teams across Japan, Vietnam, Korea, Indonesia, and Brazil.

We have a growing multicultural team with over 10 international employees who have relocated to Japan to be part of our global vision.

We are now seeking a visionary Global HR Director to lead our global HR function, align teams across multiple countries, and build an organizational foundation for sustainable international growth.

ROLE OVERVIEW

This is a strategic leadership role, not a traditional HR administrative position.

You will report directly to the CEO and oversee all global HR operations, ensuring consistency and synergy across countries while respecting local cultures and regulations.

Your mission is to create a world-class people organization that attracts, develops, and retains top global talent who believe in the power of AI and human creativity.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead the global HR organization (Japan HQ + overseas branches in Asia and South America)
• Build a unified HR framework that integrates both local and global practices
• Oversee recruitment, training, performance management, and employee engagement worldwide
• Partner with executives to design compensation, evaluation, and promotion systems aligned with global standards
• Develop leadership and culture programs that promote AI AVATAR's mission and values
• Ensure compliance with labor laws in each country and coordinate with local HR managers
• Manage cross-border communication among HR, legal, and finance teams
• Strengthen organizational governance, transparency, and documentation standards
• Drive diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives across all offices

REQUIREMENTS

Must-Have

• 5+ years of HR management experience (preferably in a multinational or global company)
• Proven experience leading or coordinating cross-country HR teams
• Strong understanding of global HR operations (recruitment, evaluation, training, compliance)
• Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills
• Fluent English communication (spoken and written) — daily coordination with global teams
• Hands-on experience with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Drive)
• Strategic mindset with strong execution ability

Nice to Have

• Experience working in a large-scale or high-growth international organization
• HR experience in technology or AI-related industries
• Understanding of labor laws across multiple regions (Asia, North America preferred)
• Proficiency in Japanese or other Asian languages
• Passion for AI, innovation, and organizational transformation
