Job Description
In this role, you will work as a well-rounded HR professional to help PSI recruit talent, streamline onboarding and training for clinical research professionals, and support all personnel-related matters.
The scope of responsibilities will include:
- Manage pre-employment formalities and ensure all local requirements are met at point of employment.
- Maintain employee benefits administration and resolve employee queries.
- Maintain and update HR policies, HR files, and work agreements in accordance with local rules and regulations.
- Support the Country Manager with all HR-related matters and ensure compliance with local requirements.
- Verify staff attendance logs and justify leaves of absence.
- Assist in organizing staff performance evaluations (at the completion of the probation period and ongoing).
- Maintain hiring records, HR databases, staff CVs, training files, and evaluation records.
- Conduct exit interviews of staff leaving the company.
Key Responsibilities:
Training:
- Arrange and conduct corporate, procedural, and other training for office and regional staff.
- Coordinate training activities between company offices.
- Liaise with external resources and parties to organize training.
Recruitment:
- Organize and schedule interviews; conduct and report on interviews and testing of job candidates.
- Maintain a database of applicants and interview outcomes using the applicant tracking system.
- Verify salary, bonuses, and benefits amounts to be payable, ensuring confidentiality as needed.
- Cooperate with external accounting companies to provide necessary information for salary calculations, tax forms, and absence reports.
Qualifications:
- College or university degree in HR or a related field.
- Experience in HR activities, recruitment, and training, preferably in an international company.
- Knowledge of Japanese labor law and general human resources practices is essential.
- Industry experience in Clinical Research, Pharma, or Biotech is advantageous.
- PC skills to work with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Effective communication, presentation, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work in an international environment and build relationships at all levels.
Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year.
