Job Description
The Global Business Operations and Services (GBOS) team at TD Securities provides critical infrastructure services that support trading, investment, and corporate banking functions. Our mission is to deliver world-class service to internal and external clients by focusing on people, processes, and controls.
We are seeking a skilled professional to join our Tokyo office as an Operations Specialist in Capital Markets. The successful candidate will provide support to the Fixed Income Sales Team and their clients, ensuring seamless client service and mitigating risk across the trade lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with affirmation, confirmation, and settlement of Fixed Income transactions
- Support sub-account set up and allocations, acting as an intermediary between Japanese clients, the Desk, and other GBOS teams
- Liaise with Japanese clients and global GBOS teams to resolve pre or post-settlement issues
- Attend to ad-hoc client service requests
- Assist with KYC document collection and translation from clients
- Prepare and maintain procedural documentation
- Provide operational coverage for other asset classes as directed
Requirements:
- Tertiary education
- At least five years of experience in Capital Markets in a similar Operations role
- Strong experience in the Fixed Income markets
- Candidates with FX/Derivatives markets experience will be highly regarded
- Team player with strong communication skills in English and Japanese
- Business-focused with knowledge of operational workflows and trade lifecycles
- Working knowledge of system applications such as Calypso, Murex, Swift, Omgeo CTM, Euroclear, and Bloomberg
- Strong judgment and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage stakeholder expectations
- Interpersonal and relationship management skills
