Role Overview
We are looking for a
bilingual Project Coordination / PMO professional
to support project operations, governance, and communication across Japanese and English-speaking teams. This role plays a key part in keeping projects organized, on track, and aligned with agreed standards while supporting collaboration across stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a liaison between Japanese and English-speaking project members
- Support day-to-day project planning, tracking, and coordination activities
- Assist with schedule management, milestones, and deliverables
- Prepare and maintain project-related materials such as reports, presentations, and meeting notes in both languages
- Support the creation and maintenance of project documentation (plans, status updates, specifications, test-related documents, etc.)
- Coordinate meetings, follow-ups, and action items with internal teams
- Track progress indicators and help identify potential risks or issues
- Support alignment with project objectives, timelines, and quality expectations
- Assist with issue management and resolution across teams
Required Skills & Experience
- Business-level fluency in
Japanese and English
(written and spoken) - Experience supporting project coordination, PMO, or project support activities
- Good understanding of project governance, documentation, and reporting practices
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks
- Comfortable working with common office and collaboration tools
Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)
- Background in project management or PMO environments
- Familiarity with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, or similar platforms
- Project management certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2)
- Japanese proficiency equivalent to JLPT N1
- Experience working with cross-cultural or multinational teams
