A regional organization operating in the B2B sector is seeking a Helpdesk Support professional to join its IT team supporting operations across Japan and the broader APAC region. The team ensures smooth IT operations, infrastructure reliability, and support for local and regional stakeholders.
The Role
- This role provides Level 1 and Level 2 IT support, helping maintain and improve IT systems across the region. You will assist end-users, troubleshoot technical issues, and work closely with colleagues and vendors to ensure reliable IT operations.
- Reporting to the IT Manager, you will contribute to IT projects, support system improvements, and help implement new solutions for the organization.
Main Responsibilities
- Act as the first point of contact for IT incidents; log, clarify, and escalate issues as needed.
- Troubleshoot technical problems and coordinate with external vendors or offsite IT teams.
- Support end-user hardware and software, including desktops, laptops, tablets, mobile devices, and communication tools.
- Assist with setup, configuration, upgrades, and maintenance of IT systems.
- Maintain and track IT assets, including procurement and disposal.
- Provide support for video conferencing, IP phones, and other communication tools.
- Assist with basic network setup and troubleshooting, including rack-and-stack tasks as required.
Your Skills
- Fluent in Japanese and business-level English.
- Experience in IT support, helpdesk, or desktop support (L1/L2).
- Familiarity with end-user hardware and software systems.
- Comfortable working with regional teams and external vendors.
