Infrastructure Engineer - Mid Level
Location: Kanto Region, Japan (must currently reside in Kanto) - 90% remote work
Language: Business-level or above English required; Japanese not required but is a plus
We are seeking an analytical, results-driven Infrastructure Engineer to join our Scrum team and contribute to a fast-paced SaaS product that analyzes individual user behavior. This role offers the opportunity to design and optimize scalable, secure infrastructure while working in an agile environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, provision, and maintain AWS resources using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
- Enhance and maintain EKS (Kubernetes) clusters, including regular upgrades and improving workload deployment processes.
- Identify and resolve infrastructure issues, proposing effective solutions and implementing plans.
- Develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and controls across the infrastructure.
- Conduct regular security assessments, including vulnerability scans and penetration testing.
- Address security risks, vulnerabilities, and gaps proactively.
- Drive improvements to make infrastructure more reliable, scalable, and secure.
- Stay informed on industry trends and best practices, introducing more efficient processes.
Required Skills & Experience
- 2-3 years of hands-on experience designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable AWS infrastructure using Terraform.
- Strong knowledge of AWS services such as S3, Glue, EKS, ECS, and Lambda.
- 1+ years operating Kubernetes in production environments.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools and workflows, especially GitHub Actions and Argo CD.
- Expertise in DevOps best practices for secure and automated infrastructure and software delivery.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Proactive learner with the ability to adopt new technologies quickly.
- Business-level English; Japanese is nice to have but not required.
