Overview:
Our client is a global leader in cybersecurity and now expanding into Japan and Asia Pacific. They are now hiring for a Country Manager to lead new business development and both manage and expand channel partners.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a Japan go-to-market strategy in alignment with APAC and global business objectives.
- Build the local presence from the ground up, including sales, partnerships, and marketing activities.
- Drive brand visibility and establish the company as a trusted cybersecurity partner in Japan.
- Identify, pursue, and close high-value enterprise and public-sector opportunities.
- Establish and manage relationships with major customers, system integrators, MSSPs, and technology partners.
- Take ownership of Japan's P&L, revenue targets, and pipeline growth.
- Oversee day-to-day operations, hiring, and office establishment.
- Ensure compliance with Japanese labor, tax, and data protection regulations.
- Represent the company at industry forums, conferences, and relevant government or regulatory discussions.
- Collaborate closely with global product, marketing, and engineering teams to localize solutions and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Provide market insights to influence product strategy and future offerings.
Requirements:
- Extensive experience in enterprise technology or cybersecurity, including leadership roles in Japan.
- Proven success in driving sales and business expansion for a global or foreign technology company.
- Deep understanding of Japan's cybersecurity landscape, market dynamics, and procurement processes.
- Strong network across enterprise, public sector, and key industry partners.
- Native-level Japanese and business-level English proficiency.
- Experience managing cross-cultural teams and navigating global reporting structures.
