We are seeking an experienced IT Resource & Vendor Management Manager to oversee IT capacity planning for internal resources and demand management for external vendors.
This role plays a critical part in ensuring optimal resource utilization to support IT service delivery, project execution, and the realization of company strategy.
The position covers 500+ internal IT resources and 400+ vendor FTEs across multiple vendor organizations and requires close collaboration with IT leaders, vendors, and company executivesKey Responsibilities
Capacity Planning – Internal IT Resources:
Collaborate with IT teams to understand BAU activities and project demand
Develop and maintain short- and long-term IT capacity plans
Continuously adjust capacity plans based on changing demand
Identify capacity constraints and critical role shortages
Assess how much project work can be delivered with available resources
Support executive decision-making by providing capacity-based prioritization insights
Work with IT leaders and executives to define short-term and long-term mitigation plans for resource gaps
External Vendor Demand Management:
Consolidate vendor demand across BAU and project activities
Liaise with vendors to understand capacity, capability, lead times, and constraints
Identify demand-supply gaps and coordinate corrective actions (reprioritization, resourcing, scheduling)
Provide structured input to Contract and Financial Managers when demand deviates from contractual assumptions
Support accurate cost estimation and contractual impact assessment
Process & Tools :
Implement best practices, governance, and tools for capacity and vendor demand management
Establish and improve processes for managing orders between the company and vendors
Stakeholder Management:
Act as the central coordination point between IT teams, vendors, and senior leadership
Ensure shared visibility, alignment, and rapid issue resolution
Reporting & Insights:
Produce regular IT Capacity & Vendor Demand reports
Provide executives with actionable insights to support strategic resource decisions
