Job Summary:
- Consolidate customer/business (primarily Insurance Operations and Sales) and all stakeholders' requirements and propose and develop high-quality solutions.
- Develop and propose high-quality solutions by aggregating the requirements of clients/businesses (mainly insurance operations and sales departments) and all stakeholders.
- Lead a wide variety of projects (product development projects, business improvement projects, DX related PJs).
- Participate in a wide variety of projects (product development projects, business improvement projects, DX-related PJs) as a lead BA (requirements analysis, testing, etc.).
- Perform the above duties not only locally in Japan but also in joint projects with other Asian countries.
Duties:
- Make recommendations to ensure that business processes and proposed solutions effectively meet business requirements and are aligned with strategy.
- Analyze business needs, develop business requirements, and create and execute user-focused test plans.
- Build and maintain relationships with business and IS stakeholders, host reporting meetings, and provide regular reporting.
- Lead staff to ensure high team performance and work with managers to implement actions to improve team performance.
Experience:
- At least 3 years' experience in omni-channel/business improvement or as a business analyst in a life insurance company.
- Experience leading projects as a lead business analyst.
- Experience working in the life insurance industry and basic business knowledge would be desirable.
- Experience working in a multicultural environment is desirable.
Skills and Abilities:
- Leadership, external relations, and motivational skills to support cross-functional teams and lead cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication skills (oral, written, and presentations).
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, a desire for continuous improvement, and a customer-centric mindset.
- English - Business level written and spoken English is desirable. Japanese - Native level.
- Understanding of systems development processes, especially the Agile model.
- Knowledge of insurance products and insurance business law.
- Other qualifications (official, etc.): Business analyst related qualifications are desirable.
- Insurance related qualifications (life insurance courses or life insurance university) are desirable.
