This role designs, manages, and executes research and consulting projects, delivering critical information to customers based on Clarivate's scientific databases and expertise. Responsibilities include customer-facing activities, project management, and data analysis to deliver effective solutions to corporations in various industries.
We are seeking a Senior Research Analyst to join our Consulting Service in Japan, working on technology research based on patent, literature, and drug databases. The team consists of 7 people and reports to a Manager of Consulting Service.
- Bachelor's degree in electronics, life-science, pharmaceutical, biology, chemistry, or a related field, or at least 5 years of equivalent experience.
- At least 5 years of experience in R&D or IP departments, with technology research and consulting experience.
- Strong time management skills and dependable in completing quality projects against deadlines.
- Business-level written and verbal communication skills in Japanese and English, and/or Chinese.
- Master's degree or PhD in life-science, pharmaceutical, biology, chemistry, or a related field.
- Experience in patent search, patent analysis, or technology research.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Experience working with large data sets or handling/analyzing large data sets.
- Interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently with stakeholders.
This role involves understanding customer needs, developing proposals, managing projects, conducting data analysis, and creating deliverables. The team works closely with the Patent Search team to create value-added deliverables.
