Purpose and Key Responsibilities
As a Credit Analyst, your primary objectives will be to conduct thorough credit evaluations and analysis, manage Accounts Receivable (AR) effectively, and ensure seamless finance and accounting processes.
- Evaluate the financial positions of customers/vendors on a daily basis.
- Ensure timely collection of AR and follow up on outstanding balances on a weekly basis.
- Conduct external audits and maintain tax compliance, as well as provide monthly finance reports.
Key Accountabilities
Credit Analysis and Evaluation
- Ability to interpret and understand financial statements of business partners.
- Calculate key financial KPIs such as profitability ratios, liquidity ratios, and effectiveness ratios.
- Determine suitable credit limits for customers with strong business justification.
- Maintain up-to-date credit limits in systems that support business operations.
AR Management
- Regularly update AR status and collection progress to management.
- Aim to reduce AR days to improve working capital status.
- Collaborate closely with insurance companies to mitigate credit risks.
- Achieve zero bad debts and follow up on any legal actions for AR collection.
- Manage customer master data.
Finance and Accounting Process
- Internal reporting and external audit support.
- Assist Finance Manager in the external audit process.
- Update actual financial reports, including P&L, Cashflow, AR, and AP management.
- Monitor top 10 vendors in terms of revenue and CM2.
- Monitor top 20 customers and work with relevant stakeholders to build incentives schemes.
- Provide quarterly brief Balance sheet and P&L reports.
Tax Support
- Monthly VAT and WHT declarations.
- Monthly VAT and WHT payment settlements.
- Monthly PIT payment settlements.
- Annual Business license Tax payments.
- Monthly Tax payment summary report.
- Quarterly CIT.
Cash Management
- Daily cash reports to the Treasury team.
- 18 months rolling Funding plan.
- Maximize fixed deposits using idle cash regularly.
Working Relationships
Internal: Line manager, peers, stakeholders
External: Internal Auditors, External Auditors, suppliers, local authorities
Requirements
- Diploma in Accounting
- ACCA and Big4 background preferred
- Good knowledge of Financial Accounting
- SAP system experience preferred
- Maintenance of supportive relationships with other Finance Department and functional departments
- Constructive and professional behavior when dealing with internal and external business contacts
- Intermediate level knowledge of modern accounting and accountancy practices and techniques, including prior accounting and finance experiences

Salary
$60,000 - $80,000 per annum
