Overview

Responsibilities
- Develop and execute research on the Japan cloud market, including writing comprehensive research reports.
- Analyze the overall Japan cloud market, encompassing public cloud/private cloud, SaaS/PaaS/IaaS, and trends surrounding cloud computing.
- The research will involve market forecasts, vendor share analysis, user company demand surveys, interviews with IT suppliers and user companies, quantitative research such as web surveys, and secondary data research.
- Plan assigned research programs, provide customer support, business development/sales support, and media relations.
- Present at IDC events and vendor events related to the cloud market, as well as conduct customized research for specific clients.
- Collaborate with international analysts on research, planning, and proposal activities.
Requirements
- Expertise in the IT market, with experience in marketing and business development in the cloud service area, specifically:
- A) Product marketing, systems engineering, and integration of cloud services at a cloud services provider, systems integrator, or consulting firm.
- B) Presenting and discussing IT system/architecture/business issues to senior management at IT vendors or end-user companies.
- C) Planning, designing, and conducting vendor research, channel research, and user research in cloud-related markets at a market research firm.
- D) Basic knowledge of investment situations in the cloud service area and experience in consulting on business issues.
- Japanese language proficiency: Native speaker.
- English proficiency: Basic conversation and email communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel (pivot table creation/utilization), Word, and PowerPoint.
- University degree or higher.
