Business Overview
Rakuten Symphony, a communications platform business organization, is a global business with communications solutions operations in Japan, the United States, Singapore, India, Europe, and the Middle East and Africa. We will provide the world's first cloud-native and Open RAN-based mobile network solution technology from Japan to the world.
Department Overview
Rakuten Group, Inc. Rakuten Symphony Rakuten Symphony Financial Management Department will be assigned.
We are promoting the establishment of a global finance and accounting operations structure to support rapid business expansion from both operational and governance perspectives. As a member of the accounting team, this position will participate in various projects in a wide range of areas, including planning and launching new operations, improvement activities, and collaboration with overseas group companies, in addition to day-to-day accounting operations.
The tax team in the Symphony business is required to optimize tax costs by incorporating the perspectives of domestic and international business teams and finance and accounting teams while looking at a wide range of tax compliance, transfer pricing management, and business strategies globally, in cooperation with not only the Japanese tax management but also with the international tax team. This is an environment where you can gain new experience and knowledge and grow with a global tax team in a global business environment from Japan.

Position Details
Together with the overseas tax team, you will be involved not only in tax compliance in Japan, but also in tax compliance of overseas subsidiaries, as well as project management and stakeholder management of business and financial accounting.
Because we operate globally, our organization is virtual, and the teams we work with are located both domestically and internationally, so English is used on a daily basis.
Global business taxation requires a proactive approach to optimizing tax costs and adhering to tax compliance while considering taxation for the business.
