Department Overview
The BTM Business Group offers Racco, a business travel management service for corporate clients. BTM stands for Business Travel Management.
Face-to-face communication is essential in any business, and business travel will not disappear in the future. By implementing the appropriate BTM tools, business travel can be managed centrally from arrangement to reimbursement, not only reducing costs, but also increasing productivity through improved convenience.
Our mission at BTM Business Group is to empower employees who go on business trips, corporations, and society by introducing BTM tools.
Position

As a representative BtoB service of Rakuten Group, we have been growing our track record. In the future, there is a policy to enhance BtoB services throughout the group as well.
In recent years, many corporations have introduced BTM, and the tendency to visualize and manage their own employees' business travel is increasing, making it one of the industries that is attracting attention. We are also looking for new ideas and execution skills.
Position Details
"Racco, a business trip management service" has partnerships with various alliance companies (partners) including major travel agencies,
and offers more advanced and complex online booking systems.
You will be responsible for supporting the sales and customer support teams, from smooth operation of these systems to setting up billing systems, technical QA,
and responding to errors when they occur.
Data analysis using Tableau connected to the database and the use of AI are also possible,
and it is an open and airy environment where it is easy to implement work efficiency using code such as Python.
You will be entrusted with the task of serving as a leader who is also responsible for promoting the growth of young members.
You will also be required to speak directly with people in the system (technical) departments of our partner companies (corporate side).
The use of English is not a basic part of the job, but you will be required to speak with Rakuten engineers and partner system personnel (foreign nationals) as necessary.
Work Environment
The BTM Business Group operates its services in a diverse range of departments, from marketing to system support.
The group has about 20 members, mostly young members in their 20s and 30s, and has a calm, cheerful, and upbeat atmosphere.
We have employees who transferred from different divisions of Rakuten Group, as well as mid-career employees. We have people from a variety of backgrounds working for us.
Mandatory Qualifications
- Advanced communication skills in Japanese
- Experience in designing and developing web systems (regardless of programming language)
- Experience with databases (SQL)
Desired Qualifications
- Experience utilizing data analysis tools (such as Tableau) and SaaS in business operations
- Maintenance and operation of servers
- Experience as a leader or lead engineer in web system development
- Comprehensive experience in web system development, from new development to operational development

Additional Information On English Qualification
- TOEIC Score exceeding 800 (or similar level of English ability or a University Degree earned in an English-speaking country)
- In this case, it is necessary to achieve a TOEIC Score exceeding 800 after joining Rakuten in order to be eligible to become a regular employee.
- If no evidence is available to prove the qualifications denoted above, taking an IP test, organized by Rakuten, during selection process is required.
