Department Overview
This position is part of the Rakuten Marketing Japan Department within the Ad & Media Company, which operates as the same organization as LinkShare Japan K.K., a wholly owned subsidiary. With over 20 years of history, we provide advanced, data-driven advertising solutions to EC and Fintech companies both inside and outside the Rakuten Group. The Internal Control Group is responsible for strengthening internal controls and governance at LinkShare Japan K.K.

Position
Why We Hire
We are seeking candidates to help strengthen our corporate functions, mainly in internal control and risk management. There is potential for future promotion to a managerial role overseeing administrative departments such as General Affairs, Legal, and Human Resources.

Position Details
You will lead all aspects of internal control operations for the company, including:

  • Execution and management of governance and compliance systems: Promoting governance and compliance activities to ensure adherence to laws and Rakuten Group regulations
  • Support for company-specific activities: Driving the implementation of company-specific Table of Administrative Authority initiatives and providing a checking function in procurement processes
  • Information security management: Building and managing information asset management systems based on ISMS
  • Risk management: Identifying various risks and considering and implementing countermeasures

Work Environment
Consists Of 3 Members
One manager (currently the Internal Control Group Manager, concurrently assigned from another department)

One staff member (Additionally, there is one ISMS Officer from outside the Group)

Since the current manager and ISMS Officer are serving in dual roles, we are looking for someone to succeed them in these positions.

Mandatory Qualifications

  • Over 5 years of experience in a corporate or back-office department, or over 10 years of practical experience in a company *Experience in internal control is not required.
  • Ability to understand business processes
  • Cross-departmental communication skills
  • Japanese language proficiency sufficient to understand, interpret, and apply domestic laws and regulations

Desired Qualifications

  • Over 2 years of experience in the governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) field
  • Experience in specific areas such as internal audit, ISMS compliance, or procurement management
  • Work experience related to internet services or internet advertising

This position is is employed by Rakuten Group, Inc., but after joining the company, you will be seconded to LinkShare Japan K.K. The salary structure, benefits, and evaluation system will be those of an employee of Rakuten Group, Inc.
