About the Role

We're expanding our
B2B Industry recruiting team
and hiring
Recruiting Consultants
for all of our functions (HR, Accounting / Finance, SCM / Logistics) to serve our B2B & Life Sciences clients in this sector.

This is a
warm desk
with active job orders, long-standing client relationships, hundreds of contracted clients, and a robust candidate network. The current record for company top billing in a year was on the B2B HR desk, so lots of potential here

We're seeking recruiters with
basic experience (1–3 years)
or
high-potential newcomers
who are hungry to learn and grow in a collaborative boutique environment.

You'll work closely with a
Team Director who is also a top biller
, as well as our
Managing Director
—with no middle management in between. You'll learn
directly from high-performing consultants
who are committed to sharing their knowledge and experience to help you succeed faster.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Build and manage your own recruitment desk focused on
    HR, Finance, or SCM roles in B2B and Life Sciences industries
  • Support bilingual mid-career professionals with their career changes (Directors, Managers, Senior Staff level candidates)
  • Develop new business and maintain existing client relationships with foreign capital companies (BD + account management)
  • Collaborate with B2B team members across different functions (Accounting/Finance, SCM/Logistics, HR) to share information, pass leads, and help each other succeed as a team
  • Run the full 360 recruitment cycle—from sourcing to negotiation to closing
  • Source candidates through headhunting, referrals, phone activity, and tools like LinkedIn, job boards, and our internal database
  • Participate in strategic sessions, share best practices, and help shape the future of the desk

Who We're Looking For

Experienced Recruiters (1–3 years):

  • Recruiting experience in Japan (experience recruiting in B2B/Life Sciences or HR, Finance, or SCM sectors is a strong plus)
  • Business development mindset and strong communication skills
  • Comfortable with high phone activity / outbound calls, client engagement, and deal-making
  • Native Japanese with business level English or Native/fluent English with intermediate or higher Japanese language skills preferred

Entry-Level Candidates:

  • Strong interest in recruitment, sales, HR, or consulting (sales experience a plus)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Motivated, curious, and coachable with a desire to grow fast
  • Native Japanese with business level English or Native English with intermediate or higher Japanese language skills preferred

Conditions

  • Location:
    Tokyo (1-min walk from Hanzomon Station)
  • Work Hours:
    Flexible start times (8:00–17:00, 9:00–18:00, or 10:00–19:00)
  • Hybrid Work:
    1 day/week WFH for recruiters, 2 days/week for senior recruiters (after hitting targets)
  • Holidays:
    Saturdays, Sundays, National Holidays, GW, Summer, and Winter Holidays (120+ annual holidays)
  • Paid Leave:
    20 days/year
  • Salary:
    Base salary + commission
  • Example salaries of existing consultants at CSJ:

  • 1st year Entry level consultant:
    Base salary + commission = ¥7M annual

  • (3+ years experience) Senior Consultant:
    Base salary + commission = ¥10-15M annual
  • Top Biller / High performers (3-5+ years experience)
    : Base salary + commission = ¥ 20-25M+ annual

Other:

  • Commission rate starts at 30% and can increase up to 45% with no cap on earnings
  • Additional bonuses / allowances available: candidate sourcing bonus (separate from commission), allowances based on increased responsibilities, etc.
