Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Payable professional responsible for invoice processing, vendor reconciliation, compliance, and continuous process improvement. The role requires strong analytical skills, effective communication with clients and vendors, and the ability to support team operations while ensuring timely and accurate financial processing.
Key Responsibilities
- Research unprocessable invoices and ensure accurate clearing for timely payment.
- Identify, analyze, and report duplicate invoices to prevent incorrect payments.
- Propose and implement process improvement opportunities to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Respond to client and vendor queries via email, providing appropriate and timely solutions within agreed SLAs.
- Assist team members in completing daily operational tasks and meeting deadlines.
- Monitor vendor ageing reports, identify unusual or outstanding items, and ensure timely follow-up.
- Research, resolve, and communicate discrepancies or outstanding balances in vendor accounts.
- Ensure compliance with month-end closing processes and accounting policies.
- Identify compliance gaps and training challenges, and escalate issues as required.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of Accounts Payable processes and invoice lifecycle.
- Experience in vendor reconciliation, ageing analysis, and discrepancy resolution.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) and MS Excel.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities.
