Your Power-Ups:
Business-level or native proficiency in both Japanese and Chinese (double critical requirement)
3+ years of game localization experience (Chinese Japanese is your specialty)
Past quests in QA, proofreading, or translation testing are a serious plus
Bonus skill:

Adept in CAT tools (memoQ mages highly encouraged)
Zero tolerance for linguistic bugs, inconsistencies, or lore-breaking errors

Experience in business interpretation, publishing ops, or hands-on game dev is always welcomed loot
Your Role on This Quest:
Translate immersive game scenarios, settings, dialogue, and company docs from Chinese to Japanese
Provide support with various document translations within the company
QA and review your work—and others'—spotting every last detail, typo, and awkward phrase
Test localized builds for context accuracy, text fits, and that crucial "feels right" experience only true gamers catch
Collaborate closely with fellow linguists, project managers, and gamers to polish our game universe to a legendary shine
Entry Requirements (bring ONE to unlock your application):
Degree in Translation, Linguistics, or Language Studies
3+ years of translation experience plus a college degree
5+ years of translation experience (degree not required)
Government or industry-recognized translation certification
Mission Details:
Contract-based, full-time adventure (onsite in Tokyo or remote possible)
Must have the right to work in Japan for onsite roles
Core business hours:
Mon–Fri, 8 hours a day
Confidentiality agreement and translation test required (plot twists not included)
