Department Overview
To provide high-quality mobile communications services at reasonable prices, Rakuten Mobile launched full-fledged services in April 2020 as Japan's fourth MNO (mobile network operator) in 13 years. Our MNO exceeded 5.5 million lines in November 2023 and is rapidly growing. We began providing full-scale services to corporations in January 2023, making large-scale investments as a core business supporting the future growth of the Rakuten Group, attracting attention both inside and outside the company.
Position Details
The Director of Marketing and Operations role involves creating and managing content for Rakuten Mobile's corporate web pages. As the most important customer communication tools, web pages are crucial for conducting marketing activities. The Director ensures production projects run smoothly, performs quality control operations, and contributes to achieving team goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage overall project progress and schedule adjustments
- Create requirements definitions, page structures, and specifications
- Develop work breakdown structures (WBS)
- Ensure product quality assurance (confirmation of requirements, design defects, text information, operation verification, etc.)
- Renew existing sites
- Conduct website analysis, extract problems from data analysis, propose improvements, and execute PDCA cycles
- Set KPIs (site setting & release work, effect measurement after implementing measures)
- Manage a team of approximately 10 people (determine team policy, training/evaluation, 1on1 interviews)
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as a web director
- Organizational team building/management for 3 or more people, 3 years or more
- Analysis tools: Google Analytics practical experience
- Project leader experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience directing offline production (signs, pamphlets, flyers for use at event venues, etc.)
- High communication skills
- English skills (TOEIC level 800 or higher)
Compensation
$120,000 - $180,000 per year
