Job Responsibilities:
• Assist the Team Manager and/or MLRO in delivering the Governance and Assurance objective for the Financial Crime Program in the Singapore branch.
• Execute and perform independent quality assurance on the financial crimes program, covering KYC, Transaction Monitoring, Sanctions, and prepare timely reports.
• Provide AML advisory support to all branch stakeholders, including KYC & Operations Teams, Trade Product Officers, and Controls Office.
• Track and monitor Issues management governance of all financial crime issues raised through Assurance, Compliance Testing, or Audit Teams.
• Support the MLRO with all MAS related communications and applicable regulatory engagements/assessments.
• Propose control effectiveness and efficiency improvements and simplifications for the operationalisation of the Program.
Job Requirements:
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a Financial Crimes program within the banking industry.
• Minimum 1 year of working experience in Assurance or Quality Testing.
• Good understanding of KYC, Name screening requirements, Trade Finance red flags, and transaction monitoring investigations within Singapore.
• Strong analytical skills and risk acumen in obtaining and analysing information from multiple sources and stakeholders.
• Strong ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.
• Adaptable to a fast-paced environment and able to work within tight timelines.
• Possess good written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent team player, flexible, energetic, and enthusiastic.
