Job Description:
Lonza, a global leader in life sciences, seeks an Associate Director, Sales CGT to proactively manage and strengthen customer relationships, increase account penetration, and uncover new business opportunities in Japan.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain a thorough understanding of the customer's business and organization, and develop and maintain robust strategic account plans.
- Manage ongoing account business and contractual obligations, ensuring timely delivery and execution of the Scope of Work.
- Generate new business and a strong pipeline of opportunities from new customers through high-level customer contact, including frequent direct customer visits and extensive networking activities.
- Target growth opportunities, consistent with Lonza's capabilities, across customer organizations, and develop value propositions and action plans to increase project portfolios and licensing opportunities.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Genetics, Biology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or Life Science discipline.
- 5-10 years of selling experience in the pharma/biotech industry.
- Good command of English and Japanese, written and verbal.
- Demonstrated negotiation and presentation skills.
This role requires leadership skills, the ability to build relationships based on trust and long-term commitment, and a strong grasp of commercial acumen. The ideal candidate will be comfortable operating in ambiguous situations and have a keen understanding of customer motivation and value drivers.
