A fast-paced, global trading environment is looking for a
Desktop Support Analyst
to deliver high-touch end-user support and help drive operational improvements and automation across the business.
Location / Working style
- Tokyo
- 40 hours/week (Mon–Fri)
with
flexible working arrangements - Occasional out-of-hours support may be required for major incidents and planned maintenance
What you'll do
- Provide day-to-day support across the end-user computing estate (availability, capacity, performance)
- Own incident & service request handling via
Jira
(tracking, escalation, stakeholder comms) - Manage
onboarding/offboarding
(starters, movers, leavers) - Identify and implement
automation
to streamline support tasks - Proactively monitor desktop infrastructure and prevent user-impacting issues
- Build and maintain documentation and support processes in
Confluence - Coordinate with third-party vendors for software/hardware procurement and support
- Maintain hardware/software inventory and support audit/compliance needs
- Participate in global projects and continuous improvement initiatives
What we're looking for (must-have)
- 3+ years
in desktop / end-user support within a complex, multi-stakeholder environment - Strong desktop-side understanding of
networking, infrastructure, and applications - Hands-on troubleshooting in
Windows Server 2016/2019
and
Windows 11 - Device provisioning with
SCCM and/or Intune - Experience supporting:
Active Directory, GPO, AV/Security, Microsoft Office, Email/Exchange, Citrix, MDM, Telephony/VoIP (Cisco preferred) - Familiar with ITSM tools (e.g.,
Jira
, ServiceNow, Remedy) - Microsoft
Office 365 administration - Fluency in English (spoken & written) – mandatory
- Fluency in Japanese (spoken & written) – mandatory
Nice to have
- Azure administration
(Azure AD / RBAC) - Scripting (e.g.,
PowerShell
or
Python
) - Atlassian suite familiarity (Jira/Confluence)
- SD-WAN / SASE exposure
- Modern management / DaaS (Azure Virtual Desktop, Microsoft Defender, Endpoint Manager)
- Microsoft 365 / Azure certifications
- Experience with trading/energy systems (Endur, Trayport/Joule, WebICE, Zema, Bloomberg, Cloud9)
- Cloud monitoring/logging (Azure Monitor, App Insights, Log Analytics)
