We are seeking a seasoned Talent Management Director to lead our global talent leadership team at Renesas. This strategic role will shape the future of our organization by overseeing and executing global talent programs across Learning and Development, Performance Management, and all Talent Management activities.
This position reports directly to the Global VP of Talent and can be based in one of our offices or remote with travel requirements. Given that we are in the early stages of shaping our Global Talent Management practices, this role offers a unique opportunity to design and execute programs that drive value at Renesas.
As a leader of a small but highly skilled team based in EMEA and APAC supporting a global employee group (22,000+), you will balance running existing programs, simplifying and harmonizing processes, launching new initiatives, and maintaining a prudent eye on budget management and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute global talent programs to support the growth and development of Talent within Renesas.
- Lead global Learning and Development initiatives, including Compliance training.
- Oversee Performance Management processes to ensure alignment with organizational goals and foster a high-performance culture.
- Implement and deliver talent programs focused on accelerating leadership development, succession planning, and developing high potential talent.
- Lead the delivery of talent initiatives, ensuring successful execution and measurable impact.
- Communicate effectively with global team members, fostering collaboration and alignment across diverse locations.
- Ensure smooth operation of talent processes, identifying and addressing challenges proactively.
- Take responsibility for budget management related to talent programs and initiatives.
- Act as the voice and internal expert for Talent Management projects.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a leader within Talent Management or a similar HR leadership role.
- Expertise in developing and implementing global talent programs, such as Learning and Development, Performance Management, Leadership Development, Succession Planning, and High Potential Programs.
- Strong leadership skills with a focus on developing team members and creating shared accountability.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- An execution mindset with strong organizational skills and project management expertise.
- Familiarity with a technology company or a related field is highly desirable.
- Bilingualism in English and another language is a plus, especially Japanese, Malay, German, or Chinese.
