The Point Campaign Consulting Department is a specialized organization within the Rakuten Group that designs and builds promotional models by integrating Points, Advertising, and Data.


Rather than providing one-off point campaigns, The Point Campaign Consulting Department focuses on designing structured promotional frameworks that directly address each client's marketing challenges and lead to measurable results.


The Point Campaign Consulting Department is responsible for the end-to-end process—from campaign planning and execution to validation and model development (Playbook creation).


A key feature of this department is the ability to analyze client challenges, design optimal promotional strategies, and drive them through to actual outcomes by combining point incentives with advertising solutions and behavioral data.

As a newly established department, The Point Campaign Consulting Department offers a high degree of ownership.


It provides a dynamic environment where members can leverage their planning and strategy skills to create new promotional models, directly influencing client growth while contributing to the enhancement of Rakuten's group-wide marketing value.

You will play a central role in creating the department's first "successful promotional models."


Based on client challenges, you will design new models that integrate points, advertising, and data, and refine them through PoC initiatives.


This is a rare position where you can drive the entire process—from planning and design to PoC execution and model development.

Rather than delivering one-off campaigns, you will contribute to building reproducible, results-driven promotional frameworks.

Role Overview


This is a planning-focused role responsible for designing promotional initiatives that integrate points, advertising, and data to address client marketing challenges.


You will be involved end-to-end—from problem definition and campaign planning to PoC execution, performance evaluation, and model development—aiming to build reproducible promotional models that drive measurable results.

Key Responsibilities

Analyze and structure client marketing challenges

Clarify required promotional elements based on business phase, customer structure, and identified issues

Plan and design promotional initiatives integrating points, advertising, and data

Develop strategies by funnel stage and design the necessary data, media, and point-incentive components

Lead the planning and execution of PoC initiatives

Define KPIs, outline validation requirements, and manage implementation timelines

Evaluate performance and develop promotional models

Review results, structure learnings, and refine them into reproducible models (Playbooks)

Conduct challenge assessments, plan initiatives, manage PoC progress, and share results

Collaboration may occur with relevant departments depending on project scope

Mandatory Qualifications

8+ years of professional work experience

Experience in promotional planning and campaign design:
Demonstrated experience developing marketing initiatives or plans based on client business challenges

Experience in client problem definition and proposal development:
Hands-on experience conducting interviews, identifying issues, creating proposal materials, and delivering presentations

Experience in project management and cross-functional coordination:
Proven ability to drive and execute initiatives while collaborating with multiple stakeholders

Desired Qualifications

Experience with point-incentive programs or loyalty programs
Experience in digital advertising planning
Experience in CRM campaign planning or customer engagement initiatives
