The ideal candidate will handling the Facility Operations Management in sizable Hotel.
Responsibilities
1. Facility Operations Management
- Responsible for the daily maintenance, repair, and upkeep of hotel facilities, ensuring safety, functionality, and guest and staff friendliness.
- Act as the primary liaison between the hotel and the building management company, ensuring smooth communication and strict adherence to contract requirements.
- Regularly inspect various facilities within the hotel (such as guest rooms, public areas, large baths, and HVAC systems) to identify and promptly resolve potential issues, ensuring compliance with operational standards and regulations.
2. Vendor and Contractor Coordination
- Collaborate with building management companies and other external suppliers (such as elevators, landscaping, pest control, etc.) to oversee service quality and ensure efficient service delivery.
- Manage and monitor the performance of third-party services to ensure strict compliance with service level agreements (SLAs).
- Responsible for reviewing contracts related to facility services, budget management, and invoice approval, driving cost optimization.
3. Cost and Budget Management
- Develop and manage the facility maintenance budget, focusing on reducing energy consumption and maintenance costs while maintaining high service standards.
- Regularly analyze energy consumption data to identify energy-saving opportunities and propose specific improvement plans.
4. Compliance and Safety Management
- Ensure hotel facilities comply with local Japanese building codes, fire safety, and health regulations, collaborating with building management companies to develop preventive maintenance plans.
- Proactively respond to and efficiently address facility emergency issues to minimize impact on guests and hotel operations.
5. Energy Conservation and Sustainability
- Implement energy-saving and environmental measures in line with local Japanese regulations, such as water and electricity conservation and waste management, to reduce operating costs while enhancing sustainability.
- Collaborate with building management companies to monitor energy and resource consumption and propose and implement optimization plans.
6. Team Collaboration and Management
- Communicate effectively in a bilingual (Japanese and English) environment, coordinating facility management with the hotel's overall operational goals with management and local outsourcing teams.
- Provide basic facility management training to hotel staff when necessary, such as emergency evacuation or handling common minor faults.
- Work closely with front desk, dining, and other departments to ensure facilities support smooth overall operations.
Qualifications
- Degree in Property Management , Engineering, or a related field
- 5 years of experience in facility management, with preference for candidates who have experience in hotel or commercial property facility management.
- Experience working with Japanese suppliers or contractors, with a certain understanding of Japanese work practices and service culture.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills
- Proven ability to lead and manage a team, with a focus on developing and mentoring staff
