You'll play a pivotal role in driving exceptional experiences for employees and visitors at our Tokyo office, while supporting Netflix's growth and innovation in Japan.

About The Role

As a Workplace Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in creating exceptional Workplace experiences at Netflix's office. You will lead programs, events, communications, and creative initiatives that delight employees, inspire collaboration, and reflect Netflix's culture.

This role requires a strategic, proactive, and creative thinker who thrives in ambiguity, drives business impact, and leads through influence with internal and external stakeholders)

Key Focus Areas

Workplace Experiences / Programs:

Align, lead and evolve Workplace programs, including Hospitality and Food & Beverage, to deliver high-touch, impactful experiences that reflect Netflix culture and drive business outcomes.

Use curiosity, creativity, and data-informed insights to continuously improve employee engagement, productivity, and satisfaction

Hospitality:
Build trusted partnerships with business leaders, stakeholders, and vendors to deliver inclusive, inspiring, and memorable experiences. Every interaction, from front-of-house greetings to curated F&B offerings, should feel intentional, thoughtful, and aligned with Netflix values

Communications and Creatives:
Shape and execute communications strategies and creative activations that connect employees to Workplace programs and Netflix culture. Create newsletters, campaigns, digital and physical content, and interactive activations that engage, inform, and foster a sense of belonging. Ensure every initiative drives adoption, awareness, and measurable engagement

Onsite Workplace Events:

Utilize expertise in event planning and execution to support high-profile events, including junkets, shootings, and internal meetings, ensuring seamless coordination and a stunning experience for all attendees.


Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Partner closely with multiple internal teams, and external partners to drive initiatives that enhance programs, operational efficiency, and employee experience.

Influence decisions, balance local and global priorities, and ensure initiatives reflect Netflix's growth and innovation goals.

Strategic Innovation and Improvement:

Collaborate with global and regional teams to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement in Workplace programs and processes, leveraging expertise in workplace experiences to drive strategic initiatives that enhance the employee experience, improve operational efficiency, and support Netflix's business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Event Strategy & Execution:

Develop and deliver exceptional Workplace events and programs that drive employee engagement, foster collaboration, and showcase Netflix's culture, ensuring seamless execution and continuous improvement.


Workplace Innovation:

Design and implement innovative Workplace services and experiences that enhance employee satisfaction, productivity, and well-being, aligning with Netflix's values and goals.


Partner & Vendor Management:

Build and maintain strong relationships with local partners and vendors, ensuring exceptional service delivery, diversity, and inclusion, and driving strategic partnerships that support business objectives.


Operational Excellence:

Provide strategic direction and oversight for event support, Food and Beverage, Front of House, Shipping, and EHS, driving efficiency, quality, and continuous improvement.


Communications & Branding:

Develop and execute Workplace communications strategies for Japan, leveraging digital platforms, engaging content, and visual branding to promote Netflix's culture and values.


Safety & Cost Optimization:
Responsible for workplace experience programs budget, vendor agreements, and cost optimization.

EHS Oversight & Safety:

Partner with operational team and Enterprise Security to ensure rigorous Health, Safety, and Emergency preparedness standards, including Food & Beverage safety protocols.

Support the development of training, procedures, and protocols that mitigate risk, maintain a safe workplace environment, and uphold high-touch service standards

What We Look For

5-7 years of experience in a similar role, with a background in tech, hospitality, or entertainment being a plus.
Proven leadership, stakeholder management, and vendor management experience with the ability to influence across teams.
Strong business acumen with a track record of aligning Workplace programs to measurable outcomes.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Japanese and English, adaptable to diverse audiences. Ability to navigate ambiguity, take calculated risks, and make informed decisions that drive results.
Creative, proactive, and passionate about delivering high-touch, memorable Workplace experiences.
