Tokyo Takeda Full time

Lead a team of professionals to drive global consistency and partnership in Employee Lifecycle Management and Payroll & Benefits Operations, leveraging expertise in payroll operations, process improvement, and vendor management to drive business performance and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and strategic direction to the Employee Lifecycle Management and Payroll & Benefits Operations teams, aligning with Takeda's global strategy and goals.
  • Drive global consistency and partnership, ensuring seamless delivery of services across regions and countries.
  • Identify opportunities to drive improved business performance, continuous improvement through standardization and harmonization, and cost savings.
  • Develop and implement process improvements, leveraging expertise in payroll operations and vendor management.
  • Foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Drive year-on-year cost savings, achieving efficiency and synergy targets.
  • Standardize, simplify, and automate payroll processes, ensuring robust data privacy controls and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Act as an ambassador for a continuous improvement mindset, driving a culture of excellence and innovation.
  • Collaborate with IT to maximize the functionality of IT systems, promoting automation and efficiency.
  • Partner with other functions to drive digital transformation and automation, achieving long-term value for Takeda.
  • Build high-performance teams and develop career paths for HR professionals.
  • Resolve escalations and issues related to operational delivery.
  • Drive sustained improvement in NPS (net promoter score).

Requirements:

  • University degree and 10+ years of payroll operations experience, with additional CIPP qualifications preferred.
  • Proven track record in optimizing and delivering complex employee lifecycle management and payroll operations and services.
  • Significant knowledge and skills in managing a department responsible for multiple country payrolls and employee lifecycle management.
  • Experience managing payroll operations from within a Shared Services environment, with knowledge of ADP and other payroll systems.
  • Comprehensive knowledge and skills in identifying and implementing process improvements.
  • Excellent knowledge of and experience managing SOX compliance.
