Job Description

This role supports the 'One Newell' strategy, driving simplification and standardization across all workstreams. The person will identify and prioritize opportunities, align with local business leaders, coordinate IT resources, and oversee project execution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Be a business partner to understand business objectives, strategies, and current conditions, investigating IT solutions for value-driven results.
  • Assist in the 'Discovery' and 'Analysis' stages of potential projects aligned with global direction.
  • Research, investigate, and align with Global IT to uncover new opportunities (business process improvement and harmonization) leveraging technology for improved business results.
  • Develop project priorities, proposals, funding, resourcing, timelines, and negotiation.
  • Lead and manage approved projects until completion using Newell Brands' standard project methodology.
  • Develop and obtain agreement on project plans from stakeholders.
  • Ensure timely and acceptable solution escalation for ServiceNow production support tickets.
  • Support Tower Leaders in developing, coordinating, and supporting team members within the country.
  • Oversight and accountability of functional teams leading specific initiatives to maintain timing, objectives, and budget.
  • Participate in APAC IT events and programs.
  • Work closely with the Head of APAC Business Systems to develop and execute the approved rolling 3-year IT business plan.
  • Perform administrative tasks, team performance analysis, customer satisfaction investigation, and local IT recruitment assistance.

Requirements:

  • Bilingual in Japanese and English (Fluent).
  • Good level of business acumen and people skills.
  • Ability to work within a matrix global-regional organization.
  • Experienced in project management (Agile or Waterfall or combination of both).
  • Knowledge of SAP functionality in one or more modules and learn Newell's 'Global Template' processes.
  • Experienced in IT Business Analysis process and methodology.
  • Possession of EDI, ARIBA, IBP, CRM (SalesForce), and eCommerce knowledge.
  • Experienced in vendor and customer (internal) service management.
  • Knowledge in IT Helpdesk, infrastructure, and security procedures.
  • Expertise in one or more business functions including understanding key process flows, critical requirements, and extensive partnership with key members in the organization.
  • Understanding of Common SAP and Applications Implementation Project Methodology including GAP Fit, Mock, SIT, WITL, and Go-live phases.
  • Strong communication and partnering skills across organization including APAC Business Applications team, business functions, APAC Leadership team, and Global IT leaders.
  • The resource should be onsite minimum of 3 days per week to help coordinate IT activities, arrange face-to-face meetings, and engage with business partners.

Estimated Salary:

$80,000 - $120,000 per year
