We are seeking a seasoned Compliance Manager to lead our regulatory efforts in Japan, driving innovation and excellence in fintech.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring our cutting-edge solutions adhere to local regulations while navigating the intricate Japanese regulatory landscape with precision and integrity.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain Regulatory Excellence: Lead the onboarding of new merchants, conduct thorough reviews, and set new benchmarks for compliance in Japan.
  • Stay Ahead of Regulations: Respond swiftly and accurately to regulatory requests, audits, and inquiries, establishing our company as a paragon of compliance in Japan.
  • Compliance Innovation: Develop and enhance the compliance manual, deliver engaging training sessions, and empower teams to exceed regulatory standards.
  • Strategic Partnerships: Forge and maintain influential relationships with Japanese regulators, creating a supportive environment for our growth.
  • Audit Excellence: Oversee internal and external audits, transforming challenges into opportunities for improvement and reinforcing robust compliance practices.
  • License Leadership: Manage the renewal of payment licenses, ensuring continuous compliance and staying ahead of industry requirements.
  • Framework Enhancement: Work with business stakeholders to refine the risk and compliance framework, aligning it with our innovative spirit and operational needs.
  • Corporate Governance: Assist with corporate secretarial duties and collaborate with external counsel to navigate complex compliance landscapes.

Requirements:

  • Regulatory Expertise: Extensive experience in legal or compliance roles within financial institutions or fintech, with a deep understanding of Japanese regulatory environments.
