The Director, Digital Consulting, Japan and Guam for Marriott Digital Services (MDS) Asia Pacific region Excluding China, or APEC, is responsible for supervising the daily performance of the Japan and Guam (JPG) Digital Consulting team. This role ensures high quality service and employee satisfaction in the Client Services group. The Director analyzes program performance results, makes recommendations for program enhancements, and uncovers opportunities for enrollment growth. They serve as a point of escalation for key stakeholders within Marriott Digital Services for hotel, and above-property Area and Continent stakeholders.
Candidate Profile:
This role requires 10+ years' experience in an agency or client services position or equivalent experience. The candidate should have 7+ years' experience in leading project teams and implementing digital strategies or equivalent experience. A BS/BA degree in marketing or related field or equivalent certification from higher education is required. Fluency in Japanese and English languages is necessary.
Core Work Activities:
The Director oversees the execution and coordination of Marriott Digital Services (MDS) programs and services. This includes building and defining the digital strategy for JPG hotels, ensuring these priorities are incorporated into MDS programs, and monitoring the work of the team to ensure programs are executed on time, within budget, and to a high-quality standard.
Additional Responsibilities:
The Director contributes posts to MDS blog, client newsletter, and/or client educational webinars. Continual education and self-growth through reading industry blogs, social media, white papers, cases studies, research briefs, etc., are necessary. Attending relevant industry conferences, training, and seminars is also required.
Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per year
