Japan FP&A Manager
Purpose of the Role
This position leads Triumph Group's financial planning cadence, including monthly forecasts, annual budgets, and mid-term planning. The role ensures smooth operations by delivering functional excellence and driving execution of financial priorities.
As a trusted business partner, you will add value by transforming data into actionable insights in a clear, proactive, and business-oriented manner.
Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Planning & Analysis
Own financial planning and analytical processes across the organization
Introduce and implement best-in-class FP&A standards and practices
Translate data into management information and actionable proposals to achieve yearly targets
Identify and drive cost-saving opportunities
Oversee and ensure accuracy of internal reporting, continuously improving management reporting sets
Develop, implement, and monitor financial standards and KPIs to support decision-making
Support business development across Triumph, sloggi, Private Label, and other sales channels
Provide financial evaluation of projects and key initiatives
Deliver periodic financial reports for top management and act as a counterpart to global functions
Ensure compliance with Group reporting standards and act as owner of official financial data
Manage submissions of budgets and forecasts (monthly, quarterly, yearly) to global FP&A
Serve as local expert for SAP Analyzer and Business Warehouse reporting
Budgeting, Forecasting & Planning
Lead annual budgeting, periodic forecasting, and 5-year planning processes
Coordinate with global FP&A and local teams to develop templates, timelines, and consolidated Japan P&L down to EBIT
Liaise with demand planning, sales, supply chain finance, sloggi BU finance, HR, and cost center owners to consolidate sales, margin, A&P, personnel, and non-personnel expenses
Review and consolidate Capex plans and support cash flow forecasting
Ensure accurate and timely submissions of P&L, Capex, FTE, and store-level P&L in SAP or other required systems
Expertise & Business Partnering
Develop and implement FP&A policies within the Japan organization
Act as a sparring partner to finance and non-finance department heads
Contribute to establishing best practices in sales and financial controlling
Support the CFO in implementing advanced forecasting and analysis processes
Leadership & People Development
Provide constructive feedback, mentoring, and coaching to team members
Set clear expectations, KPIs, and goals while addressing performance and development needs
Encourage learning opportunities and knowledge sharing across teams
Motivate and recognize outstanding performance, fostering a positive and professional team culture

Proven experience in FP&A leadership roles within multinational organizations

Proficiency in SAP Analyzer and Business Warehouse preferred
Excellent stakeholder management skills, including engagement with C-level executives
Strong communication skills in both Japanese and English
