The main clients are infrastructure operators such as power and plant companies, as well as construction firms.

While quality assurance has traditionally relied on labor-intensive methods, the declining workforce and work-style reforms have made digital transformation (DX) an urgent priority.

The company is working on DX initiatives with DX managers and field personnel at each client, and also rolls out the solutions developed there to other companies.

The company is tackling a market of approximately ¥5 trillion in social and industrial infrastructure maintenance. They are committed to creating solutions that fundamentally improve the current state of this vast market. 【Recruitment Background】

The company is currently pursuing several robotics development projects, including joint research and development with clients. They are looking for a Robotics Development Engineer who can lead the development of these robots, including building the foundational common functions for these projects.

【Team Responsibilities】

The team is focused on designing and developing services and products for equipment inspection, disaster response, and security monitoring in the field of industrial infrastructure DX (Digital Transformation). They handle a wide range of development, from creating solutions that combine robotics and software to developing products that are not tied to specific hardware.

【Your Team】

As of July 2025, you'll be part of the Robotics Group, which consists of four Robotics Engineers and two Product Managers. You'll also have the chance to collaborate with a broader team of 30 Web Engineers and 8 AI Engineers on various projects and product development.

【Responsibilities】

You'll be responsible for the development and operation of products and services in line with the company's mission and business strategy, collaborating with other departments and external partners.

The projects you'll handle involve software development for robots, including UGVs and drones. Based on your experience and preferences, you'll work on either robot control technology or image recognition and analysis technology for autonomous control. While this is primarily a software development role, experience with hardware development will allow you to contribute more broadly.

・You'll develop robot control systems using ROS1/ROS2.

You'll develop autonomous control systems using sensors like LiDAR and stereo cameras.

Most projects last between 3 and 12 months. You'll use a variety of technologies, including AI, robotics, and IoT, to solve real-world problems on the job.

【 Requirements】

【Required】

3+ years of experience as a Lead Engineer/Project Leader at an operating company with one or more of the following skills:

・Robot control development skills using ROS

・Autonomous control development skills using sensors such as LiDAR, Camera, IMU, Radar, GNSS

・Business-level Japanese or higher (All internal communication, documentation, and customer interactions will be conducted in Japanese)

【Preferred】

■Experience

・Development experience with autonomous mobile robots (any form factor), including both hardware and software

・3+ years of development experience in C++

・Development experience using Nav2

■Skills

・Business-level English proficiency
