Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced
Embedded Engineer in the x86 domain
to support customers in resolving technical issues across embedded systems, SoC, FPGA, and x86/ARM-based products. This role requires strong knowledge of x86 architecture, BIOS/firmware, debugging methodologies, and hands-on experience with embedded platforms.

Role Responsibilities:

Technical Case Resolution

  • Provide expert-level support to resolve technical issues and customer queries related to
    FPGA, SoC, embedded x86 & ARM products
    .
  • Manage and close a high volume of technical cases while maintaining excellent customer satisfaction.
  • Apply strong end-to-end debugging skills across hardware, firmware, drivers, and embedded system layers.
  • Independently resolve complex and deeply technical cases within your expertise.
  • Engage additional internal engineering teams when needed for timely solutions.

Escalation Handling

  • Handle technical escalations in your domain, particularly in x86, embedded systems, firmware, or IP protocol areas.
  • Develop advanced expertise in selected technical areas and become a go-to resource for peers.
  • Assist teammates by responding to drop-in technical questions and sharing knowledge.
  • Collaborate with global engineering teams to jointly troubleshoot and resolve cross-functional issues.

Problem Solving & Debugging

  • Perform advanced root-cause analysis for multi-layered and cross-product issues.
  • Use your knowledge across multiple product categories (x86, ARM, embedded firmware, IP protocols) to resolve complex customer challenges.
  • Identify recurring technical issues and propose long-term corrective or preventive actions.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 6–8 years
    of experience in embedded systems, x86 platforms, SoC, or relevant engineering domain.
  • Excellent communication skills in both Japanese and English (written & spoken) with
    minimum JLPT N3/N2 (mandatory).
  • Strong hands-on experience with
    embedded x86
    development and debugging.
  • Preferably experienced with
    modern embedded processors
    (e.g., high-performance x86 platforms such as server-grade or industrial-grade CPUs).
  • Solid understanding of
    x86 BIOS/Firmware/UEFI/EDK
    development and debug flows.
  • Strong knowledge of
    x86 architecture
    , platform design concepts, and debugging methodologies.
  • Familiarity with key IP protocols such as
    PCIe
    ,
    Ethernet
    , USB, or other standard interfaces.
